Walking

my daughter turned 1 a couple weeks ago and she’s still not walking. she’ll cruise on furniture all day long. she even has one of those standing push walkers and she’ll walk in a straight line with it but she isn’t wanting to take steps on her own. i’ve caught her letting go of furniture and standing on her own for a few seconds. should i be worried yet or just relax for the time being?

My son turned 1 on Nov 8th. He won’t even stand on his own. All good. Babies develop differently

Just relax. While the average is 1 for walking, it’s not a concern until 18 months from what I’ve heard. My little guy is in the same boat. He’ll take max 2-3 steps and only if we set him up between us and have him go to the other person. He doesn’t initiate it at all

I wouldn’t worry yet. My daughter did the cruising for weeeeeks before she attempted steps on her own. I started placing her in between two chairs and putting a snack and toys on either chair so she’d have to let go of one chair to reach the other one then gradually moved them further apart. Kind of to give her that confidence that she could walk.

thanks y’all!

No that's normal. My daughter didn't walk till 14 months. My pediatrician said they don't worry till like 16+ months

I think that is normally. I read that anything between 8-18 months is pretty common.

My baby will be 13 months on the 19th this month! She’ll walk holding onto your hands and cruise on furniture but isn’t walking either. Totally normal!

@Morgan yep! My pediatrician said 18 months.
