Anyone else struggling to loose weight while breastfeeding?

It’s been 11 months since I had my beautiful daughter. I have been working hard to shed some pounds. Unfortunately I haven’t seen much progress. I’ve tried so many different things. I’m being told that while I breastfeed my body is going to hold on to fat to feed my baby. I’m wondering if anyone else is going through this too.

Yes me too 😭😭💖

My daughter is almost 7 months and I've still got 12 pounds to go. I've lost 2 and 1/2 stone (12 pounds of that was baby, fluids etc), but struggling with the remaining 12 pounds. I'm just so hungry while breastfeeding and haven't been strict again like I was before. Especially with going through sleep regressions and teething 😵‍💫😖 How much have you lost? How much do you want to lose? X

@Lucy I lost the usually amount when I had her 11 months ago about 20lbs but I started gaining weight after I went on the depo shot. I have gained 30lbs weighing at 170lbs that’s 10lbs over what I weight when I had my baby. I decided to get off the depo shot and see if it helps with loosing weight. I was told by my doctor that the depo shot causes weight gain in most people who use it. I also have been very strict on my diet and I exercise as well but I keep fluctuating between 165lbs and 170.

That's frustrating! Are you calorie counting? If you're exercising, it might be better to do your measurements instead. You may lose inches and fat and gain muscle, and muscle weighs more than fat.

I'm still breastfeeding, 8 months in, started a diet September 30th and lost already 6kg. Mine is a calories deficit diet. You can lose weight but you need a good diet for breastfeeding moms. Don't do a diet by yourself or you could lose your milk supply.
