Bump

This is really strange to ask but how should our bumps feel at 18 weeks. Should it be hard or should it be soft. I suppose I’m just trying to determine how much is bump vs weight gain/bloat.

Last time at about 20 weeks or so it felt like a little padding that’s the only way I could describe it? So quite small for me personally. It’s really hard to determine and everyone’s body is different too.

Mine is softer than it was before 15 weeks. And also no movements or or feelings yet so making me go a bit crazy about why is it like it is. Hoping everything is OK for 20 week scan

I believe throughout the first and second trimester, we’re very used to quite a lot of bloating, therefore our tummies feel much firmer or harder, as you progress in your second trimester that bloating disappears and you’re body is souly focusing on baby, therefore once the bloating goes away, you’re tummy may feel softer all of a sudden? I’ve noticed compared to a few weeks ago my tummy is MUCH softer then what it was back then, I believe it’s also to do with positioning of baby so some times it may feel firmer, sometimes it may feel softer depending on how they’re laid etc! I wouldn’t panic, but completely understand your frustration. I’m the exact same! 😂 xx
