First holiday - help!

We’ve booked a holiday for next month for Dubai over the new year, it’s our first holiday with little man who’s gonna be 11 months when we fly out. What do I pack, where do I start I can’t even think right now I’m already stressing over it (long story short I didn’t want to do a holiday til after 1 just for my own sanity really but here we are) please can someone give me a literal list of what is essential. He’s on prescription milk and early days on the milk ladder, TIA X

Weve went away twice and i made a list of literally everything i use in a day at home from the minute he wakes till he goes to bed - and started there! I brought extra milk as he drank more in the heat but he hadnt started weaning yet. We loved our snooze shade and cabin approved pram - two must haves for me! X

@Roisin do you have that list? We’re flying with emirates do you know what’s best to take through the airport, do I need a car seat? I’m so confused xx

We've been away 3x this year and we're going to Australia at the same time as you're going to Dubai, with an 11 month old also😅☺️ Here's my list so far ° Snooze shade ◦ Pool float ◦ Fan for pram ◦ Toys for pram ◦ silver cross clic pram & pram bag ◦ sun hats ◦ Swimsuit & warm in one wetsuit ◦ Over head towel/poncho ◦ Milton tablets ◦ Fold down bucket ◦ Bottles ◦ Bottle brush ◦ Fairy liquid in small bottle ◦ 2 flasks one for hot water, one for cold ◦ formula pots - ◦ Hipp formula tub x2 ◦ Ready to feed formula for plane ◦ Toys for plane/beach etc ◦ Nappy’s ◦ Wipes ◦ Calpol ◦ Milton wipes - ◦ Night outfits ◦ Day time summer dresses/vests/shorts ◦ Swim nappies ◦ Hair brush and accessories ◦ Suncream ◦ Food pouches/ fruit and veg & snacks ◦ Body wash/shampoo/moisturiser ◦ Teething gel & sachets ◦ Nappy cream ◦ Sleep bag 0.5tog ◦ Vests / sleepsuits for bed ◦ Cardigan ◦ Blanket ◦ Muslins ◦ Bibs ◦ Socks ◦ plate & spoon

I forgot to say, we're going to hire a cozigo for the plane bassinet as i believe that's the only brand that's allowed to be used on their flights. Car seat wize, we've hired one in Australia, so maybe see if you can hire one to the airport if you need one for getting around. But if you're having a coach transfer and walking/ busing atound, you won't need one. This is the first holiday that we'll be hiring one as it's a different holiday for us as we're seeing family. You can of course take your own car seat but you'd have to make sure you've wrapped it up really well for the hold. I personally wouldn't want to risk it and also one less thing to carry around the airport! X

Thank you so much I’ll look at hiring a car seat, I think there’s only a few items we can take through security I’m not sure what to take for the best

I'm avoiding thinking too much about it atm, it's too overwhelming with Christmas the day before we fly isn't it! 😵‍💫🤣 x

Hello! My daughter is on prescription milk and just wanted to flag that if your baby is on any other medication for example we took piriton with us it has to have the pharmacy sticker on it with babys name. Ours didn’t but thankfully I took her red book and some papers which proved she has egg, nut and milk allergy so needed the antihistamine and they let us through security with it. Xxx

Order boots collection at Manchester airport. You pay £4.50 order a week before and collect it before you fly. Means u don’t need to worry about weight of luggage and the faff at the airport

Also when taking any water through for baby just say it’s sterilised water. If you say water they’ll make you pour away then you have to faff and find some
