C section or VBAC

Hey ladies, I’m due to have my second baby next month and have chosen to have an elective c section after my first being an emergency section. Part of me really wants to try for a VBAC but I’m absolutely terrified that it will be another traumatic experience. With an elective, I feel like I will be in control if that makes sense? I’m thinking to see if I make it to my c section date but if I go into labour earlier, then try to deliver vaginally. Does anyone have any positive VBAC stories or even negative… I haven’t been very active this pregnancy (due to drs orders) and also haven’t had any classes so I’m not even sure how to handle a vaginal birth or labour.
