My little one is usually 10-15 minutes per boob. Every baby is different, my little boy guzzles like he’s never been fed most of the time😂. I was told by a friend once that my session needs to be longer and he’s only ‘snacking’ not actually feeding but mum knows best. The fact that she’s pulling away speaks for itself that she’s obviously full - and I find breastfed babies to never refuse milk😂xx
Mine does same but wakes up at night at every 2 hours seeking breast am fed up Already
Mine does the same and always has done since birth - short feeds usually no more than 10 minutes (though occasionally at bedtime he’ll have a long feed - last night he fed for 20mins+ at bedtime, then slept for over 6 & a half hours so I think he was stocking up for the night 😂). I asked the midwife when she came out after he was born, and she said some baby’s are just more efficient feeders. Think also as someone said above, as they got older they get more efficient! How long is she going between feeds? My LO has started to go longer between feeds than before. If she’s putting on weight and content, no need to worry - you’d soon know if she was hungry ☺️
My 11 week old will only feed for ~7 mins on one boob, doesn’t want the other when offered! We give her 160ml of pumped milk as her first morning feed and then again for the bedtime feed, and she’s been sleeping ~6-7 hours straight at night only waking once to nurse.
My LG normally does between 5-10mins, in the day she goes no longer than 4 hrs between feeds normally it's every 2 hrs. She has some expressed milk in a bottle in the evening, normally no more than 50ml, trying to increase that volume so I can actually leave her, without feeling like she's going hungry.
Mine is about 5 mins total each time, will never take the other side when offered (well only on very rare occasions!). She is gaining weight and seems content, lactation consultant said it’s very normal and to not watch the clock but go by their nappy output instead!
Mine feeds about the same and then falls asleep. The health visitor told me that they become very efficient with feeding so I wouldn't worry if there's plenty of wet and dirty nappies and she's content.
