Yesss my girl does it too I now wear a sports bra and hide the other boob to stop it or I will redirect her hand and say I don’t think that no thank you, it’s super sore otherwise and it gives me the Ick haha x
🙋🏼♀️ mine does this too - it drives me insane. Also puts his hand down & underneath the other boob 🤷🏼♀️ I just repeatedly move it away & then try and block access 🤣 One of the many reasons I’m so desperate to stop BFing!!
Thanks for sharing your experiences @Jenny @Naomi @Hannah I thought it was just me. I feel so bad that I get irritated by it - I’ve moved his hand and even covered it up but he doesn’t give up until he gets there. And since I’ve started this post he’s started holding it whilst sleeping and waking up every time I move (we cosleep) 😒
It’s not my nipple but my little one plays and pulls with two risen moles that I have on my boob. And my god it’s irritating and hurts. I try to stop her but she literally puts her hand back all the time. For her it’s definitely a comfort thing to get her to sleep, I’ve never breastfed as she had tongue tie and wouldn’t latch x
Mine does the same and is so wriggly sometimes/trying to stand and has his bum in the air. I don’t like the other nipple being touched so I hold my hand over it/bra and stop him getting at it I asked a breastfeeding lady for some advice and she said it’s a phase- been going on a while though! And to try a breastfeeding necklace which I’d never heard of - For them to play with instead I currently have a comforter I put inbetween us to encourage him to play with that/get used to having that as his comfort! Good to know we aren’t the only ones!
Yes! I find it so triggering! I asked about it on the breastfeeding support Facebook group and they said they can do it for comfort and/or to stimulate milk flow. I think it’s both with mine.
Mine has started doing the same! It’s definitely a comfort thing for him but yes it bloody hurts and I hate it but no idea how to get him to stop. If I move his hand off he wont settle till it’s back 😫
