Sharp pain in my right side of abdomen.

I’ve woke up with just the usual discomfort that is normal for 34 weeks pregnant, then I started getting this very sharp intense pain in my right side of abdomen that lasted around 5-10 minutes. It was nothing like a period cramp and it really took my breath away and I was barely able to sit, stand, bend or do anything. It’s no where near intense as it was but I can still feel the pain/discomfort. Should I be worried or is it the usual round ligament pain?

I would ring triage, it could be ligament pain but it is a potential warning sign of pre eclampsia so get checked out even if just to put your mind at ease

I would definitely recommend to ring the MAU

Definitely like the others said tell your doctor. I’m at 34 this Wednesday… I’ve been having those at least 1-2x a month. They are probably contractions & they are not fun! Mine last as long as 45 mins which aren’t fun. My doctor said it was normal & body is getting ready but said if I begin to have more of them more frequent like 6 in an hour to go to hospital l&d. I noticed i get the pain on my right lower abdomen side because both babies heads are there. I think I got the hang of them now when I get them i get into a fetal position but I tend to feel better sitting on the toilet when I get them & rock back & forth. I also drink water which noticed helps me too. Hope that helps some.

Following as I sometimes get an intense cramp in lower right side of stomach when I’ve been on my feet for a while. It nearly cripples me! I put it down to dehydration and hopefully nothing serious?

That happened to me for 30 minutes at a little over 33 weeks and it subsided with rest
