They can but they just have a very uncomfortable chair to sit in and there are notices saying they mustn’t lie in the bed 🙈 my husband went home overnight (late in the evening) and returned in the morning but that was because I insisted but other partners were staying all the time! X
I was in April. Daughters dad stayed with me the whole time other than he wasn’t allowed when being induced in the induction suite but when you’re moved to the labour room they can stay
@Issy No way!! I was in the induction bays Monday - Wednesday in July this year and my mother was allowed to stay x
@Freya that’s so weird because they put the pessary in, I was crying in agony and they took it out and it made me scream it was that painful so I was feeling awful all night and they still made him leave at 10pm xx
@Issy Bless you!! The examinations every few hours were the worst for me, but everyones partners/parents were allowed to stay. A woman next to me had her partner and sister stay with her ! I think it’s wrong for them to send birth partners home!
Yes I was in there from Monday - Friday and had my mother stay with me day and night!
