Same with me, such a battle. I lie my baby between my legs, head away from me and put my legs over his arms and then sort of clamp his head with my legs. This sounds much worse than it is (obviously I’m being gentle!) but it holds him in place so the whole process is still horrible but quicker
Its a nightmare. Ive found now she is older I have more success with the drops
Yeah my son hates it too but I have to essentially force him to have it as it does help him breathe especially at night. Lots of cuddles and kisses after make it all better 💕
Thank you everyone 🥹. I’ll deffo try the drops now too xxx
@Emily this description made me actually lol 😂 I find going in with compassion, as whack job as that sounds, really helps. Rather than fighting her, I gently tell her what I’m going to do and smile and talk softly. I give her tonnes of praise when she sits still and lets me do it. Doesn’t always work but most times!
No advice I'm afraid just solidarity 😐 I literally just did the fight for saline spray. It's awful! I could hear he was stuffy and it was keeping him awake. It worked and he's just now gone down but yeh no advice on how to do it calmly. You're definitely not the worst person though, it's horrible to do but it does help them. Hopefully things pass quickly for your little one! 🤞🏼 Xx
