Railway museum with two year old?

Thinking of taking my two year old for his birthday as he loves transport. We’re gonna get the train there and make a day of it. Is there enough to do there for a toddler? Thanks

Hi, I used to take my lo there lots at that age it’s great! There’s a play area to the left when you go in and there’s lots to explore. If you go upstairs there’s a little library that has kids books and you can sit and read them in there. There’s also the new Wonderlab bit (have to pay) with lots of hands on experiments and a soft play bit in the back too. That wasn’t open when my lo was 2 but she’s loved it from 3 so I’m sure yours will too. Have a fun day out! X

@Sophie aww amazing thanks so much! That’s great to know 🙂

I might of missed it if you’ve already been but we took our 3 last Monday and a lot of it is closed due to making improvements and not fully back open till late next year, I felt we didn’t spend a lot of time there as there wasn’t as much to see as normal. The miniature train isn’t running and the outside play area is closed off, if you go onto there website it shows what areas are open, there’s the wonder lab which you have to pay for think it was £15 per adult and free for 2 and under. Normally we can be there for hours but we weren’t this time so ended up going for a walk round the Xmas market with them xx
