Same here! It's rubbish isn't it. A midwife told me this week that sleeping on your side doesn't necessarily mean sleeping on your hips so if you can use a pillow to wedge yourself so you're kind of sleeping with one side of your bum on the bed and the other propped up then that's fine. I just find though that that gives me a bad back instead. At the moment part way through the night I'm just propping my back up with loads of pillows behind me so that I'm sleeping sitting down with a slight incline if you see what I mean.
Had the same, death by hips and could hardly walk. Got a referral to a physio and a whole load of paperwork and I'm so so so much better. I have bad days still and the pain isn't gone but I can walk again. There's an NHS app called Squeezy on Google play. Highly recommend using it for pelvic floor exercises! But you need to stick to it. Turning over in bed - turn over on your front (i.e. get on your hands and knees to turn). Keep your knees together when moving in and out of bed and cars and in general. Don't stand on one leg at all, keep your weight even. Put on pants, socks and underwear while sitting down. Basically pretend you are 100 years old 🤭 Also don't be shy to stack a few pillows. I have one under bump, 2 between my knees, one under my shoulder and two under my head for the heartburn. It looks ridiculous but I can sleep!
Only thing I’ve found that helps me is taking 2 paracetamol right before I go to sleep and it eases it a tiny bit at least in the first half of the night, although I still wake up to pee and turn onto the other side every hour😅
My midwife has suggested a pregnancy belt during the day. It’s not recommended at night but she said by night time pgp might not be as bad if it’s been supported during the day. Going to give it a go
I'm feeling the same. I try to roll over keeping my knees together...if that makes sense. I feel like that's the only way I can adjust in bed without screaming!
