Head moving from side to side

My daughter did too for self soothing, specially when sleepy or tired. She stopped after a while.

My son used to do that when he was younger hes stopped now (4 months)

It’s probably just self soothing. My daughter used to do this and still has a slight bald patch on the back of her head from it. Doesn’t do it anymore tho 😊

Mine did it while tired so probably self soothing, but also a more persistent motion - so much that it was difficult to feed her- was closely followed by an angry rash , may b from friction of clothes or drool

Okay thank you guys so much i definitely was stressed out he is 5 months and just started doing it a little before this all these new things are happening so fast i get nervous lol

Mine did this for a while. It seemed like something she was doing just because it was a new thing she had learned, rather than it being self-soothing.

My 6 month old started doing it at about 5 months too. She does it when she's trying to self soothe and has given herself a little bald patch 🤣

Mine is just over 5 months and was doing this. I thought maybe it was because I had half a lemon meringue pie but turns out it’s a new thing he learnt to do and wouldn’t stop, he’s now learn something new 🙈
