Am I having contractions??

I’m 31 weeks and I woke up today with really bad stomach pain in my upper abdomen and then decided maybe I need the toilet so I used the toilet now I’m getting the pains again all over my stomach in waves I think and I’m getting like little period pains too it’s not paaaaainful but it’s a bit like woah what’s going on. Me and my partner were intimate last night so don’t know if that’s maybe why but it’s just a weird pain otherwise baby is moving

Because you’re saying it’s in the abdomen it’s probably just Braxton hicks which are like false contractions

Should be nothing to worry about but if you’re getting pain in your lower back or things get worse call the midwife or go in!

If the timing is inconsistent, it's probably braxton, ive seen loads of posts about 30wks mommas having them, contractions will be every few minutes If its that painful call 111 or midwife

Yeah that’s what usually happens, as long as it’s the front and not the back they usually tell you not to worry, if you truly think somethings wrong then don’t hesitate to give them a call to be on the safe side!

@Lynds it’s been coming and going for the past hour that’s why I’m worried , I’ve had BH and they just feel like a tighness that’s not painful

Definitely get checked out, for peace of mind too
