Milk drinking/eating process

I'm having a bit of trouble knowing how much my LO should be drinking/eating. She is 9 months and she is not that interested in food as I tried different methods. She does eat when I feed her tho she doesn't really pick herself much and feeds herself. But overall she might have 2 meals as she is not a big fan of breakfast (I tried cereals/pancakes/bread/omelette.. if you have any other ideas please let me know) And for the last month between teething and cold after cold she has been drinking less milk than normal. Is that normal? She is 8.5 kg which I believe is normal but obviously we just worry about everything in the world so I'm just a bit confused on the food weaning process 😨😨😨

My baby has had cold recently, a pretty bad one with fever which also coincided with teething, so she refused to eat solids although we started off really well, she would eat everything. But since she has recovered from cold and her teeth cut through, I feel like we are back to beginning with the whole weaning process. She doesn’t eat as much anymore and I am trying to slowly reintroduce solids. She is 7.7 kg, but still following her birth weight curve. I read that loss of appetite is one of the symptoms of teething, so maybe it’s the same for your baby.

If you don't mind me asking what kind of method did you use? I am doing a mix of everything because I'm pretty lost.

My LO has been sick on and off since October and is currently teething. He’s been doing much better thankfully!! During that time, he wasn’t eating or drinking much which is understandable as he wasn’t feeling great. I found that he would eat and/or drink something after he had his medicine, nasal spray, teething powder etc. it was about 30 mins after. At the moment, he has three meals and has about 3-4 bottles. Had to start the weaning process again. I started off with fruits, toast, weetabix, mash, egg and other plain food. A lot of food would go to waste. It took a while for him to learn to eat himself but now he feeds himself most of the time and is open to everything. Wishing you all the best x

At this point it’s more about texture exposure as opposed to food amount. My lg has 2-3 meals a day, but when she had HFM and was teething we skipped 4 days because she wasn’t interested. Our breakfasts are usually Oatcakes (oat, egg, ripe fruit/steamed veg and greek yoghurt blitzed up and made into pancakes) Weetabix with squeezed orange and whole milk Toast with any purée or leftover spreads Oats and nut butter Leftovers from dinner We do a mixture of purées and solids, we spoon feed and she feeds herself, I make 95% of her food from scratch and that really helps my anxiety around the nutrients she’s getting and if she’s eating enough. If she’s not really interested, I found eating from her plate really encourage my daughter to eat. I’d take bites and demonstrate chewing, and she’d start pulling my hand with the food to her mouth. We also used an open cup from 6m and sometimes she’d rather drink purées like that 😂
