Donating breast milk

I recently sent in a form to be a milk donor as I have an oversupply, which at the time (5 days ago) was 1900ml in my freezer (always 1200ml-1500ml in the fridge) I was just wondering how long it takes for them to get back to you as I now have 3300ml in my freezer and it’s getting to the point I’m going to start needing to throw it out due to lack of space which I’d really rather not do🥲 they emailed saying they’d contact me “soon” but that really not specific🤣

Hope they get back to you soon! If you have some you're at risk of binning, you can use some in babies bath, it's great for their skin. You can send some away to make yourself some breastmilk jewellery if you like. I've seen recipes for skin cream using breast milk too.

They got back to me via email within 3 days and sent me containers for storing the milk and kit to get my blood drawn and tested by my gp. They made it sound like they would only accept what I froze in their containers and not my milk bags that I already had in my freezer though.

Also, thank you for being a donor ❤️
