Pains 😟

Hi all, I’ve been experiencing severe pains on my right side and it gets so bad that I am unable to move my right leg when this happens. It’s been going on for the past 4 days I’d say. I did research that it could be ‘growing pains’ but this just feels unbareable. I can’t even get up out my seat or bed. It’s a sharp stabbing pain. No bleeding and no back pain thank god. Anyone else experienced this? I’m getting so worried! What do you suggest I do?

I’d suggest to call your midwife just for some advice and peace of mind for yourself 🤍 hope goes well x

Could it be sciatica? However, that is on your right side normally from your bottom to the lower back. I have it, and it can be unbearable, but I've had it since 2013 and just get on with it now. Advice i was given is to sleep on the opposite side, and it should help. Xx

I had something similar I called the hospital and they said it’s not usually anything to do with baby as it’s on the side rather than the front and that’s it’s more muscluar, mine went after a few days. Might be best to call them or the doctors just in case!

Yess this is round ligament pain! It’s truly awful. I ended up on the labour ward in agony because I thought something was wrong

@Jay I went to the hospital to get it checked and they indeed said it is probably round ligament pain but that I might have it quite severe! They also took my bloods and urine to check for infection. It’s awful! I can barely move when it happens 😫

@Briony this is what they told me too. Baby’s heart rate is all OK and she said the ‘round ligament pain’ will subside by like week 26 🤔
