Going to work while baby is sick or staying home?

Hi mommies! My baby who’s only 13 months recently got sick over the weekend, his cough doesn’t seem to get better, what are come home remedies I can try? ALSO I’ve been calling off of work to stay home to watch my son, I’d rather let him rest and watch over him as he sleeps in rather than wake up early to take him over to my in laws house since she watches him for me while I’m at work. Speaking of that.. do you other mommies stay home to watch your babies or would you just have to deal with it and have someone else watch them while they’re continuously sick? He has a rough cough & has boogies, has not got a fever but also does not seems to not get better 🥺 Idk what to do I feel guilty for going to work and waking him up early but I also feel like calling off this week looks bad on my end 🥺

My son just got over an upper respiratory infection, it lasted for 11 days and it was rough. I Saran wrapped organic onions to his feet and put socks over them and let him sleep in them for a few nights in a row, I used Vicks vapor rub on his chest, I used a cool mist humidifier every night and for naps (warm mist collects mold quicker, and my pediatrician okayed honey, so I would make a mixture of 2 teaspoons of honey, lemon, a pinch of baking soda, and 5 ounces of warm water and give that to him about 2 times a day..all of this helped tremendously. If you feel comfortable, could your in-laws watch him at your house where he is comfortable? Don’t feel bad if you’re not able to stay every day with him, you’re doing your best!

Thank you!!☺️

You’re welcome! ❤️
