Early Gender scan

So I’ve booked an early gender scan 15 weeks 6 days. I’ve also booked and paid for our reveal party later that same day. I’ve just come across an email that I had missed at the time of booking which states that the gender is not always visible and reveal party’s on the same day is not advisable. and now I’m worried il end up having to cancel the reveal party. Is there anything I can do before hand to make sure the baby is moving around so that I’m not turned away without knowing if it’s a boy or girl?

There's no guarantees with the scans unfortunately, especially where they're done early but we had a positive experience and they were able to be definite we were having a boy (we had our scan at 16wks 5days). My baby gets super active whenever I have a sweet drink or piece of chocolate so that might be worth a try! X

We were 15 weeks and 4 days and they knew our gender almost immediately Make sure you’re super hydrated before hand so the image is really clear And I agree about taking something sweet with you, I’d also say a cold drink and I’m sure they’ll tell you to have a wriggle around if you say you’ve booked your party and didn’t see the email! Good luck 🥰

I hope this is not in Withybush, Haverfordwest. Sonographer was not able to tell us gender at 20-weeks scan there because baby had legs crossed. Nothing we could do about it (according to our sonographer), we asked if we can walk around or something else to try again. I heard if it’s a boy it’s easier to tell. Good luck! I personally think if your sonographer takes time, baby will eventually reveal itself on scan.

@Zhuldyz I’ve paid private to go to Swansea fingers crossed they can take their time with me 🤞🏽

Obstetrician couldn’t tell the gender of my baby at 14/15 weeks when I had a scan. Legs crossed again. We did a blood test instead.
