VBAC or c section after traumatic birth

I had a 6 day induction which ended in an emergency c section. I was such an anxious mess the last few days in hospital and have really struggled with the birth trauma and have a lot of anxiety. Getting better each day though 💜 I've always wanted 2 children, my 1st was this September. Because of my hospital experience I thought (when I'm ready) I'd opt for another c section. Have a lot of people have an emergency c section and traumatic experience for their first? And what did you do if you had a second?

I had a very traumatic first birth and I am opting for an elective section this time. I hear it can be very healing ❀‍đŸ©č Nice and relaxed atmosphere

I had an emergency section 4 years ago. Due to the trauma of the day (section was fine and the best bit!), I opted for a planned section June 2022. I have opted for a planned section again for this January when I have my final daughter.

I had a traumatic experience first time and was rushed in for an emergency c section. Had my second baby a year ago by elective c section and it was a million times better and a very calm experience â˜ș xx

Mine was very traumatic. Went into labour and everything was going great but my midwife’s wouldn’t let me move out the bed. Laboured for 18 hours then baby went into distress so ended in an emergency c-section. its put me off having another one due to that experience

I had a traumatic emergency c section with my first, then went on to have a VBAC with my second. Tbh my VBAC wasn’t easy it was a long induction which ended in forceps and episiotomy, but I was really glad to experience a vaginal birth. If I wasn’t bothered about experiencing that I would’ve gone for an elective c section x

My first was 20 hr labor that ended in urgent c-section. It was terrible. 2nd baby was scheduled c-section and was a million times better, especially recovery the 2nd time. I just had my 3rd by scheduled c-section and no regrets!
