That’s interesting to know @Alana sorry so you say you do feed every hour when fussy or avoid that? Mine does spit up quite a lot generally but not concerned due to otherwise being happy and gaining wait. The amount tonight just threw me off!
I would love to spread feeds out but she will get so cranky if I try 🙈 also I then worry not feeding enough in the day and will make up at night! Will give it a go though thank you @Alana
This has been my babies entire existence since birth. My doctor called him a happy spitter. I’ve been more mindful to not over feed him (aka every hour or to calm him when he’s fussy) and it has made a big difference. They say you can’t overfeed but I don’t know about that… I’ve seen 4 lactation consultants, had a feeding assessment with a physiotherapist and seen an osteopath about it with no real advice. They aren’t concerned since he isn’t fussy and is gaining crazy weight (20lbs at 3 months…) The best they’ve suggested is that my letdown could be too fast, to try and express a little before a feed to slow it down or recline a bit during the feed. They also say to take breaks, burp often, bicycle legs, etc etc the usual techniques.
