How many time do you pump a day ?

Does any exclusively pumping moms actually pump 8-10 times a day? I’m 8 weeks pp and I have not been able to make it past 6 times any day. My baby is super clingy so I can’t put her down for anything or she’ll start crying. I’m starting to lose my supply because of that unfortunately

I pump 5 times a day I’m 5 months pp I used to pump 3 times before now until I started becoming low in supply. So now I pump 5 times and power pump once or twice a day.

Yea I’m pumping 8x/day every 3 hours for 10-15 minutes. 3 months pp. I put her in the swing or bouncy chair while I pump to help soothe her. I talk to her and tell her I’m putting her down to help feed her! It’s helps me more to remind myself the cry is for a brief moment and it’s for her benefit. Regardless it’s hard and a major sacrifice to BF no matter how you do it 😅 GL!

@Sophia how long do you pump for? How many ones does your little one take?

I pump when he’s asleep, feeding.

@Jamie how many oz do you get each pump? I pump for about 30 minutes each time because I don’t feel empty in 10-15 minute. You’re right the cry is for a good reason, she’ll stay on the swing for about 15 minutes and I normally shower at that time

I pump x3 a day. I’ve been doing it since I was 2 1/2 months pp. I used to get 51 oz before I got my period and now only make 45oz at 9 months pp.

I get ~4oz from each pump (2 from each boob). I also do hands on pumping and massage and squeeze the boobs for a faster flow

When my son was born i was pumping every 2 hours( i would get 5oz each session ) and it wasn’t too difficult as he would sleep right after a feed, the older he got became a lot more harder around 6-7 weeks i changed to every 3 hours (by this time it was getting 8oz), and would do tummy time or just lay him down on a mat and show flash card play with him or change his nappy, do massage anything that would stop him from crying. He is 15 weeks now i pump every 4 hours(still 8oz), its much harder now but i still try spend that 30 mins entertaining him somehow so i do not need to pick him up while i finish pumping.
