Reflux or gas?

My littlest seems to cry in the afternoon 7-10pm and especially while eating. I’m confused since it seems like he’s straining like he’s trying to poop/pass gas but he also spits up at the same time. I can’t really tell what the problem is.

Gas for sure

Its gas. Going through this right now with my newest baby. He's been so fussy. I feel so bad but I don't even know what's giving him so much gas. It's most likely me since I've been eating a lot of veggies 😫 but I just am not sure and am at a loss

Same 😔 I'm starting a food log tomorrow to see if there's something im eating that's causing it

Definitely Gas.

Try cutting cows milk first CMPA is super common x

He’s formula fed (cannot breastfeed) have switched him to alimentum and has only made the problem worse it seems. We even burp him several times a feed, mylicon drops, and Freda windis when it gets bad (still doesn’t help) Right now for his last few feeds he’s only taken an in an ounce in between screaming, normally it’s 4 :(

What type of bottle and nipple are you currently using?

@Leslie I’m using mam bottles, it’s all my first could use, so we decided to use it this time too. He wasn’t able to latch into anything else.

Dang I was wondering if maybe there's something with the bottle happening but you said he can't use anything else. I'm sorry your baby is experiencing so much discomfort. I hope it gets figured out.

@Leslie I’m going to bring it up again at his 2 month check up and let them know it’s getting worse. Hopefully they may have some answers but I doubt it. They’ll just say “colic” and wipe their hands of it.

My baby was having this issue! We switched him to a goat milk formula and it has helped him immensely. The brand I use is called Kabrita. He is able to pass his gas on his own we used to have to give him gripe water multiple times a day but now it’s only 1-2 times a day. If you do switch formula just know the first few days things might get worse before they get better!

@Kaitlyn I’m currently going through the same with my almost 4 week old. I switched baby to Nutramigen formula because I suspected she was having a milk allergy. All other issues resolved after switching formula but she is still fussing during/after feeds. I’m also using Mam bottles. I tried switching to Evenflo, they didn’t help. Today I am trying Mylicon, also ordering gripe water as a back up since the pediatrician said it’s okay to alternate the two.
