Baby only latching on left breast

Baby girl is 3 weeks old and will only latch onto the right side.. I have a suspicion that it's because my right nipple is a bit more smaller and shallow. Has anyone else had this issue? Any suggestions on how I can get baby to latch onto the right side too?

If you have benefits, it would be worth taking baby to a pediatric chiropractor! They can assess to see if maybe they have a neck turning preference, they can also check their latch for any tongue/lip ties (though this would be best done by a pediatric dentist that specializes in oral ties) My baby latched great for a while, but around the 3 week mark started having some difficulties, and definitely preferred one side more than the other. I will be taking him to the dentist for an oral tie assessment as suggested by his chiropractor. My midwife and gp both missed the oral ties as he latched well at the beginning, but as he grew bigger the ties started to affect him more as he had to compensate as his mouth got bigger.

My baby doesn’t really like latching on my right but I always put her there anyways. She just doesn’t like turning her neck that way

Try a nipple shield. That worked for me when baby wouldn’t latch on one side. Eventually they get the hang of it better and you can stop using it
