You honestly don't have to. That's for the average, some babies aren't ready to transition at exactly 1 year and that's okay. BF babies continue, and so can formula, just make sure they get vitamins as they don't receive enough from formula after 1. If your baby isn't down to 2-3 milks a day and not as interested in food as they are milk they're probably not ready. And that's okay, don't put the pressure on yourself. They'll get there. However, my LO is 1 in two weeks and reduced down to 2 bottles during this month, and breakfast is now before the morning bottle, so that one would be easy to transition. You still have a month and babies change so quickly
I’m going to wean her morning and bedtime bottle to cows milk but still keep her day time bottles as formula until she’s ready to drop them completely. I’m going to part formula part cows milk to transition. She’s only having 1-2 5oz bottles in the day but I can’t see her dropping to none any time soon even though she’s a very good eater x
We are currently in the process of replacing one of her bottles with a snack and gradually reducing the amount of formula. But from last night we did half cows milk half formula and she didn’t notice a difference! I have absolutely no idea what’s best just winging it 🙈 Some advice I saw was if they’re not into food over formula to be giving the food first then formula x
