Sleeping through

My son will be 9 months on the 28th. He goes to bed 8/8:30pm and wakes around 8:30/9am. He usually wakes once a night any time between 2:30 and 5am has a bottle and takes himself straight back to sleep. Is waking for a bottle still normal for his age? Is there anything I should be doing to help him sleep right through?

Absolutely normal and their main nutrition should be formula or breast milk until 12 months of age. Maybe once he’s 12 months you can revisit this.

We encouraged our little one of the bottle (she’s 8 months and now sleeps 7:30pm- 6:30/7:30pm) we just did a ounce less a night and by 2oz she wasn’t interested, if lo is getting enough through the day and having meals etc they technically don’t need a bottle in the night. My lo was definitely not hungry I upped her ounce at the bedtime bottle she was just waking same time every night as an association to having a bottle x

Mine did until 14 months and then he just stopped waking up for milk. (Formula) I didn’t push at all to stop even though there’s this ridiculous push for us to stop at 12 months on the dot. He stopped when he was ready. I wouldn’t worry at this age, they still have milk at night as they have lots of growing to do x

My son is 15 months and has only slept through a handful of times- he wakes for milk every night. He can settle himself so that’s not the reason he’s waking up. Waking up once a night is fantastic at 9 months x
