I didn't think you're wrong at all. He acted like a child. He should have cleaned it without you even asking. He is a grown man and can see what needs to be done. He shouldn't need a checklist.
he's doing this so you'll stop asking him to do things. even if it's easier for you to do just do the thing, don't stop asking him. even if he does it badly, don't stop asking him. make him accountable.
If he couldn’t do it when you asked he should have explained why and said when he would do it. E.g. “I’m just in the middle of this, is it ok if I do it afterward in half an hour from now?” He obviously didn’t want to and hoped you would do it if he left it long enough. It sounds like a 5 minute job so he is being selfish and petty
Weaponized incompetence. 1000%. Also he is a king baby. You should not have to teach him how to clean a bathroom. The way men are attached to their phone while they take a hour long poop they have plenty of time to watch a YouTube video on how to clean a bathroom. And it’s such a red flag that he screamed in rage. That is abusive. He is an adult and is capable of speaking like an adult. Screaming rage is not what an emotional stable person would do. Remember this if he ever says you are being too sensitive or over dramatic cuz what in the actual fuck.
No you’re not an asshole. He should’ve cleaned it. But, some men wants a lil direction and by him asking “what exactly do you want me to do?” Morso meant what products you’d like him to use so he doesn’t grab the wrong ones. To that I would’ve said “they’re under the laundry sink, use the toilet powder to pour into toilet wait 5mins use the scrubber next to the toilet to brush the inside, then use the blue cloth and spray to spray and wipe the rest then flush” because he knows I like things specific so he asks in detail like that so he can do it (anything) in confidence. They know how, it’s moreso asking what exact products to use. After that one direction he knows next time what exact products you use and next time he won’t need to ask again. Like when I’m at my sisters’ yes I know how to clean a toilet but I don’t know what products she has in the house to clean HERS so I ask her what she uses when I can help. Does she use bleach? Does she use antibacterial wipes? A cloth? Etc.
Idk some men they way they move with chores they take their time…my partner would wash the dishes but when he was ready to do it which was usually before bed…now since working 2 jobs he just takes the trash out and again he might not do it right away lol but I don’t do it because I do everything else pretty much so I let him do it when he gets ready and also with the dishes as well
I mean you left it 3 and a half hours. How much more time did he need 😂🙈 I don’t think you did anything wrong here he should have cleaned it way sooner. Mine will wait maybe 20 mins max before he actually will do it for context x
