Mucus plug / bloody show?
Hey everyone!
I’m currently 40 weeks + 3 days and I’ve defiently started having period like cramping.
But my main question is, I’ve had brown discharge …what does this generally mean?

Your cervix is starting to dilate 🥰 the mucus plug can come out all at once or in little bits as it opens more, ot can be brownish, pink or red-tinged If you're seeing a lot of brown or darker brown just check I'm with your midwife's/ clinic to make sure it isn't meconium (doesn't sound like it is though)
@Tara That’s what I’ve heard, that the cervix is starting to dilate, ahh! So far it’s only been little bits but I’m keeping an eye on it! Thank you ☺️

Woooo excited for you that you are starting to feel things 👏🏽 I’m 40 & 2 so just behind you! I think the mucus plug is clearer, essentially like mucus but with little streaks of pink. Maybe you are spotting which I wouldn’t imagine is a strange thing either at this stage. Hope this is the start of you meeting bub❤️
