Cosleeping at night but what about daytime naps?

I’ve been cosleeping with my boy since week 1 and we love it! I love our cuddles so much, can’t get enough. He is almost 6 weeks old and I don’t have any intention to stop in the near future. However I would love a better daytime nap routine so I can do some stuff around the house and eventually get work done. My baby is a bit of a Velcro baby, the best and longest naps are always contact naps, on me/boppy post nursing or in the carrier. He has fallen asleep in a swing before but I heard it’s not great to keep them sleeping there for too long. Any advice for how to transition to non contact daytime naps?

We used to co-sleep for only nap times tho and I’d leave him in our bed to do a few house stuff after he fell asleep. However this became difficult after he started rolling and crawling so one day I just put him in his cot and left the room! First day he cried a lot so I went back to hold him to sleep and put him down again. Then he just got used to it after a few days and has no problem soothing himself to sleep since. But we do the same for night time so this may have helped.

It took a while for non contact naps with me my baby is 7 months now and now she sleep for 3 hours no contact. I try to put her down when she is just about to complete knock out when she doesn’t realize. And I move her around a lot so she doesn’t notice that I moved her to put her down.

Nurse baby laying down in side-lying position and then ninja roll away after they fall asleep. This is how I put my son to sleep for 2+ years and it worked like a charm

Haha ninja roll. I do that routine too

You don't need to just use the African mothers way on the back or side when you are doing chores I'm a forever co sleeper and I was able to do everything and more and better it does need a little getting use to
