PICO DRESSING
I was provided a PICO dressing. I’m instructed to take my dressing off after 7 days/ the battery in the device dies.
However I am very worried about taking this dressing off on Sunday. I’m plus sized and notice that I now have a hanging belly where my incision is.
How have others done with healing in similar circumstances?

Hi I had a pico dressing your community midwife is ment to remove it for you normally during little ones checks🙂
I removed mine last night and it was alright - do it in the shower as the adhesive will be a bit rough on the skin. I dried my wound with the cool setting on hairdryer and just trying to be careful of it. I’m nervous too about infection etc but just trying to be mindful about keeping it dry x

Hey! I had a PICO dressing and am also chunkier than average! 🤣 my dressing had to be removed 10 days after my section but my community midwife did this during one of LO's check ups. It is super awkward to remove and you would need someone to help - could your midwife remove it?
