Lifting heavy after c section

What is the risk associated with lifting more than your newborn’s weight after a c section. I have a newborn and toddler (30 lbs) and my toddler is constantly asking to bf picked up

You risk ripping stitches, having a prolapse, your incision not healing well or taking longer to heal.

Omg your uterus can collapse . Happened to my MIL. Toddlers gonna have to throw his tantrum

There are a lot of risks. C sections are rough lol I did not take care of myself after my c section bc I didn’t have a choice and luckily, I was fine and healed fine. I was lifting well over 30lbs, going up stairs, walking around, it’s life and it is what it is. If you do decide to pick up your toddler or do other things, just try not to use your abs/lower back and bend down with your actual legs if you can and go slowwww. Slow and steady wins the cesarean race❤️

My mil wouldn't even let me use my foot to wipe water with a rag off the floor. Said the sideways movement could potentially dislodge something. Then told me about her aunt who ruptured sutures. Reaching up and bending down could also do stuff. Sit back and heal. It's major surgery.

Yeah maybe sit on the couch with your toddler next to you. But I wouldn’t pick up anything more than your newborn and their car seat.
