I have a c section planned

For the end of January. I can’t stop thinking about what it will feel like and I honestly keep feeling like I’m going to be sick. This is my second however the first I was put to sleep. I could actually feel them before I actually drifted off so now I’m scared I will feel everything. They do make sure you’re completely numb before cutting don’t they? I understand they didn’t have time with my first and it was only for a few seconds but it’s stuck in my head 😩

It’s a weird sensation. You don’t feel any pain, promise! But it does feel a bit weird. Some tv character described it like ‘someone’s doing the washing up inside me’ and that’s exactly it! It’s weird, but not unpleasant. I hope this is a calmer experience for you and you have more control x

I had a planned section 4 weeks ago today. I had no pain but a big baby so I did feel them pushing on my tummy but it didn't bother me. Honestly though I had an emergency for my first and planned this time and can say it was amazing and I would 100% do it again. Was so relaxed from start to finish.

I didn’t feel a thing, in fact I didn’t even know they’d started! I think it was barely 10 mins from spinal to holding my baby, I had the radio on and lots of conversations happening so it was a great distraction.

These are all very reassuring thank you! I didn’t realise it all happened so quick either with a planned. I was out for at least an hour and a half she was delivered at 10.17am and I woke up about 11.45 so when I came round I forgot what I was even there for 🫣 just numb legs and a sore throat. The recovery after isn’t even worrying me I think just the thought of someone cutting you open awake is pretty scary but I also hated being asleep as in a weird way I don’t feel like she came out of me because I didn’t see anything.

Honestly gone for the best option having a planned c section. Mine was emergency and was abit stressful but definitely would rather have that than give birth its pain free except from the contractions x

I was so scared of having a c section all throughout pregnancy… I was determined to have a vaginal birth. When I got induced, my baby was big and they told me all the risks and I ended up opting for a c section even though I had been so afraid. It was the best thing ever!! I knew I was about to meet my baby and within 5 minutes she was here right by my face! 🥰 there’s absolutely no pain, and they test that you can feel the cold before they do anything ! You just feel some tugging but it really is not painful at all 🥰

I honestly didn’t feel a thing! It was really relaxing! I was a bag of nerves going in and getting the spinal. But once all that was done I started to relax and honestly it was the most beautiful experience! I’d do it again in a heart beat!! ❤️

Awww this is all great thank you. Luckily I had an epidural so was pretty numb and I got to 9cms her heart rate stopped so they rushed me to theatre and all I remember was a mask being put over my face and feeling something it wasn’t really painful probably like a scratch from a needle but I could feel it on my belly like pressure being pushed so that’s when they started cutting next I was waking up to find out I’d had a baby 😅 So I’m hoping this will be much less traumatic and I will get to meet baby girl straight away ☺️

Mine was an emergency and they check you with cold air because it's similar to the pain response. I could felenit blowing but not that it was cold. I just felt tugging like someone was shoving my shoulder but in my belly. I was too terrified to relly focus much on everything. One second the screen went up and then baby was here and then I was back to staring at the screen until baby came wrapped up to me
