We just went through this a couple weeks ago. He had no problems sleeping in our arms but the second he was in his crib he was awake and screaming. It would take us HOURS to get him down, eventually ended up co-sleeping for about week until we realized that wasn’t working for us either. We ended up just doing the CIO and it only took two days for him to be sleeping in his crib again and fully through the night. We wouldn’t let him cry very long, I think the longest was maybe 30 minutes. Best decision we ever made, it was hard to listen to him cry but so worth it.
Thanks ladies, yeah we’ve been doing co sleep as well and he sleeps better but we still don’t because he’s so fussy, don’t want him to get into the bad habit of having to sleep with us too . Crying it out method, ugh this is so hard because I can’t stand to hear him scream and not comfort him 🥺… Gonna check it tho
@Meli it was so hard for me too, i cried the whole time he did the first night we did it 😭. it i saw someone say somewhere that letting them cry teaches them to self soothe. they can’t learn unless you let them practice. it’s hard for sure, you know your baby better than anybody and you’ll do what’s best for them. Right now they may just need extra cuddles and comfort 🫶
My baby recently cut his top four teeth and it has been a rough few weeks at night. During the day I made sure he has plenty of different teething items some cold but never frozen! Also don’t be afraid of giving him some Tylenol before bed after speaking with your doctor. I Hope this helps🤗
