Elective c section

I have mine, mine is the day before, 30/12. I am due 17th Jan, but I am expecting twins X

Yes 30/12 but due 4/01 But this will be brought forward due to risk factors so hoping for 20/12

28 December for me. Week 38.

Booked for 30th of December, due January 3rd..

So is it just as and when they have availability around your due date as there doesn’t seem to be much consistency with everyone’s responses? I have my consultant appt next week and hoping they’ll give me a date.. I’m due 5th Jan

Yeah I’m due 11th mine is 7th Jan x

I got mine and they told me they like to do it 39/40 weeks I’m due 10th Jan c section is booked 7th Jan c

Booked for 13th Jan and due the 20th so will be bang on 39 weeks 🥰

@Meena pretty much, my hospital only had time on the 30th or 27th for elective. If baby has to come out sooner, that obviously then becomes a higher level of urgency,l

How did everyone manage to get a date booked in already? My appointment with a consultant is not for another month and I’m due on the 7/1, stresses me out quite a bit that it’s happening that late :( Thanks x

@Aleksandra you have to double check with your antenatal team, I had indicated my intent super early so all of these extra appointments were booked way in advance

Thanks! I did indicate it too from the first appointment. They even changed my consultant appointment to the 2nd of Jan (sooo last minute!). I had to make many phone calls to get them to change it back to the one in month’s time. Had no idea so many ladies have their dates booked it already! Really wish I would too haha x

Due 8th Jan. Booked for 2nd Jan. I just hope he doesn't come early lol 😆

Due Jan 9th but section booked for 2nd. My consultant told me they don't like to do elective before 39 weeks unless there's a reason. Plus my week 38 is Christmas week so with there being so many bank holidays they don't tend to book in planned sections.

I've got my 32 week growth scan and appt with consultant on the 9th hoping to get my booking date then My 2nd came at 38 weeks so really hoping I make it to my booking date which will be after I turn 39 weeks

Yep, I’m due 13th so having him on the 6th at 29 weeks x

I’ve got my 36 week scan on 9th dec. I’m hoping to get my date then! I’m due 4th Jan. x
