Stair gates
Can I see what stair gates you guys are using?
The skirting around our staircase is quite thick wood, but the bannister is low. I'm struggling to get my head around how to fit the gate I bought and I'm worried it isn't going to fit without me having to drill into the bannister?
I'm sitting here spending my Friday night going over these instructions and looking for gates on amazon 🥲🥲🥲
Be careful with pressure mounted ones at the top of the stairs as if they lean on them they could fall. I unfortunately just went for the drill into the wall and will worry about filling the holes in a few years when it comes down. I also went with one where there was no bar at the bottom as I am a bit clumsy at times and could see myself tripping over it 🤦🏼♀️ but i do have a gap at the bottom which my daughter likes sitting on the top step and sticking her legs through 😬
