You dont HAVE to put baby to bed at any certain time. As long as they are getting their daily/nightly sleep they are good! 8:30pm has been my girls bed time for forever because it was just what worked best for us.
My son has been going to sleep at 9pm since he was 6 months old because of my upstairs neighbor’s kids who are up late 🤦🏻♀️ he sleeps through the night and wakes up at 7:30-8 every day, sometimes even 9am.
my 4.5 month old goes to bed at 9:30-10, wakes up at 5 to eat and then back to sleep until 7:30
@Ashlynn I’m wondering if my 7 month old needs to go to bed later than 7:30 cuz he wakes up at 10 and then every 2 hours until 6 am.
@Keyona try longer wake windows! starting at 7 months my oldest went to bed at 7:30-8, and woke up at 3/4 and then ate and back to bed until 7:30. but i won't lie, i am very lucky and my kids are great sleepers 99% of the time
@Ashlynn that’s what I’m working towards. I am wondering if I should move him out of our room. I’m not ready for him to share with his big brother yet.
@Keyona longer wake windows will likely solve your problem!
I think you can put your baby to bed whenever suits you or your baby. My baby goes to bed when I do, around 12-1am. We tried to move his bedtime up to 10pm but that just turned into 2-3 hours of everyone being frustrated.
The bedtime sounds about right. I downloaded Huckleberry app to record sleep times and see what the sweet spot was for putting my son to sleep. He slept 10 hours at night from 8-12 months. Now he sleeps for about 11-11.5. That app helped.
