@Tonya lol my son’s favorite word is no too. He just told me tonight I love horses, and I’ve never heard him say that before or haven’t taught him that either. Isn’t it refreshing to know your hard work on teaching her has paid off?
Yes! Ours is but she seems to be very advanced. She’ll say sentences like, “Daddy read that to me this morning,” count to 10, says the ABCs…
@Anne our son is super advanced too. He told me to shut and lock the door please, when I left for work last night 😂. He’s now counting to 13 and we’re working on sounds with his ABC’s
Same here. Glad I’m not the only one with an advanced kid!
Mine kind of in a middle ground, she’ll go “look a puppy/cow/kitty” if she see one and than normally make the sound associated with it. She is kind of counting and can go up to 4 but I think it’s more of repeating like a parrot than actually counting. She does know a lot of animal sounds, she can say simple 3-4 word sentences, she does still sign a lot for things like eat and all done. It’s so cool to watch them pick up this tho and they do it so fast!
@Jazzmyne omg I taught our son sign too. I still make him sign words even though he knows how to talk. He also knows animal sounds and sounds of objects like trains. He also sings to us, which I love. They really do I hate to admit it but my husband keeps saying he’s a big boy, and maybe he is 😢
@Katherine girl sometimes it’s a lot, because he just be proving points when he tells me stuff 😂. Like sir you are not older than me 😝
@Javacia Yes!!! like what do you mean toddler?!?! 😭😭😭 that’s my little baby. The other day I got her to say love you and I sobbed, it’s way to fast
@Javacia aren’t you shocked by the things they come up with?! like i didn’t teach you that lol
@Jazzmyne aww when he first said I love you I cried for two days. It’s the best feeling ever when they say it, better than anyone else saying it. Does she know her name yet? We’ve been trying to teach him his brothers name
@Anne all the time! They are just so smart, I’m going to cry so hard on his second birthday
@Javacia No but it’s Ophelia so it’s kind of hard for her to say. She does know our cats name and my moms dog name but they’re Opal, pumpkin, and Harley so way easier. She does get the two cats confused still because she favors Opal lol.
@Javacia She will turn her head if you holler Stinky because that was her nickname for a while 😂
@Jazzmyne that is such a beautiful name 💕, she’ll get it soon. His names Kendrick so that’s pretty easy, and his brother’s name is Kai. The other day he said hi javacia, I said excuse me who are you talking to.. I’m mommy . Nicknames are the best, especially when they love them

Our favorite full sentence is "need hug mommy" it melts my heart every time. Yesterday she correctly pointed out a, b and d to me unprompted and we really haven't been doing much with letters yet so I was like where are you learning this??? It's so fun having real conversations now but the strong opinions are definitely coming out full force
She has started to . The most common one is “ yes, I want ____ “ when I ask her if she wants something lol
@Chrissy omg I love that so much 🥺. My son loves asking to help with stuff, he’s always saying please help mommy or how are you mommy. If they are watching educational stuff on tv, that may be where she’s picking it up at. Ohh the opinions are definitely something else hunny, I said oh lord is this earlier 2 stage stuff because I cannot with him telling me what to do.
@Brittney ohh I can’t wait for that sentence. All he says when I ask about snacks is yes cherries or yes apple sauce. Good job mama, keep it up.
Mine is barely speaking full clear words 😂 her favorite is No 🤦🏻♀️😂 Association and context clues though, yes, shes good with those.
