Sleeeeeep

My 10 week old girl is doing a strange sleeping pattern. I’ve been tracking it for ages and it’s always the same. When I first put her down at night, I get a 3-4 hour stretch, then I will feed her and put her down for a 1.5-2 hour stretch. After that, she’s awake every 45 mins. I feed her every time (breastfed) and she will either feed to sleep or drift off by herself when I’ve put her down in the bed. It’s so hard getting up every 45 mins for like 4 hours. When I feed her, she literally only feeds for like 5-10 mins and is done. Never cries at night. We’re co sleeping already and get up at the same time every day for routine. Any ideas?

We are the same. In fact, both my boys have been like this at this stage. It’s brutal. We are also coskeeping for the final stretch. Mine now has a longer sleep from about 8-11am and I have now started going back to sleep with him after his brother has gone to nursery, although can’t do it everyday as I have him some days. Here for ideas too.

In a v similar situation with our 10 week old, sleeps 4 hours, then about 2.5 and then will only sleep on me as he starts to have digestion issues on his back after around 4am. He also only has short feeds during the night.

My 10 week old is doing the same! 4-5 hour stretch and then awake hourly! Hoping this phase doesn’t last long!

Sounds pretty normal then and nothing I’m particularly doing! I should be grateful for the big stretch at the start I suppose as we’ve only had that for the last 4 weeks or so! Will keep soldiering on and taking paracetamol for the sleep deprivation headache every morning! 😩

8 weeks and very similar, the first stretch is usually 3 hrs and latest ones like one hour and cosleeping. Great to read I'm not alone. Hoping it's temporary and he'll consolidate the small ones at some point. Hang in there ❤️

Sleep pressure is at its lightest early morning so sound like they just can’t link sleep cycles independently at that time

Deffo hang in there everyone! I suppose at least I’m watching some great tv in the feeding time! It’s “me time” right? Haha! 🙃

I am experiencing the same, LB goes down at first for a couple of hours, then as the night goes on he wakes every hour without fail. I breastfeed him but he isn’t hungry just needs the comfort but it’s very tiring waking every hour, he is 9 weeks old Monday and I am hoping this phase soon changes! Very sleep deprived right now 🙈
