Wrong scoops

I’ve been giving my son the wrong scoops of milk. He is 4 months old E.g : 4 scoops x 240ml My son’s a little over weight, I now know how much to give him approximately now. Will it cause any issues with him?

It can cause dehydration, be hard to digest and usually poor weight gain due to malnutrition. Most are 1 scoop per 30ml of water and it is important to do it correctly. How long have you been doing it wrong? I would maybe get him checked over by a gp next week

It depends what formula it is but as above @Lauryn said majority is 30ml or 1oz per scoop so essentially with 4 scoops you would make around 120ml milk. Depending on how long you been giving baby it like this it will provide insufficient amount of calories as usual 1 scoop is around 26kcl and could lead to poor weight gain and generally being unwell.

I agree with the above, 240ml should be 8 scoops not 4 if it goes by the 1 scoop to 30ml water It should tell you on the tub of formula though 🙃 I'd definitely go and see a GP to get him checked over as it can cause dehydration, weight loss etc
