Are baby wraps & carriers worth it?

I have a 3 yr old as well as a 4 week old. Obviously my 4 week old needs all the cuddles right now, my 3 year old understandably wants mummy to play with her & do things with her which I miss doing with her too. Are baby wraps and carriers worth it? I tried it with my baby and she was fussy but do I just keep persevering?? Will this save my sanity??

For me yes! I get so much done/can eat a meal with two hands with a carrier. Maybe start with a material one which may be more comfy for baby to get used to?

Google sling library in your area you can rent one and they will fit it and find one that works for you before buying anything

so worth it. i have a 2 year old and newborn and i'd find it near impossible to get anything done without the carrier. sling library is definitely a good idea to help you figure out what works for you before spending xx

Considering my baby wants me to hold her for naps. Absolutely. She lives in the sling for her naps and sometimes i feed her in it if I have to feed my toddler at the same time. It’s been a godsend.

Yes! Currently wearing my 6 weeks old while cooking and watching my 2 year old...possible only because of babywearing!

@Hilda this time around things have been done a bit differently! My first I had time to hold and try to put in the cot. No chance now 🤣.

Definitely. I had one with my first baby but it is even more useful when you already have a child/children. My baby loves to nap in it, I wear it every time we have dinner as it is easy to keep him asleep in it. I put him in it and bounce on the pregnancy ball as a low energy way to get him to sleep. I use it to settle him to sleep at bedtime as well then transfer him. He's napping in it right now as I'm sat on my pregnancy ball 😂

Yes, absolutely life savers

Yes! Mine sleeps/settles for hours in the carrier which keeps my hands free

Check if there's a sling library near you, we have hired a carrier and we've bought a sling second hand which I love
