Wet diapers

This started yesterday, my daughter has lately only had like 1-2 wet diapers for the whole day even at night I still give her a new one . And I toke her to the doctors to make sure nothing was wrong but the doctor told me being that she’s almost 1 that she can have 1 or 2 for the day but no less than 1 or 0 but I’m just worried she’s not getting all of it out , has anyone ever experienced this ? My child has all been fussy or wake up screaming crying in the middle of the night . Sorry for the lost post just worried and it wasn’t even her doctor just a random doctor at her doctors office that said she’s fine and healthy and barley looked at her

I personally don’t know if it’s normal or not but I would get a hold of her actual doctor. Does your doctor have an online portal you can message them through? I usually ask stuff like that, that way I don’t have to go in person when I want a question answered. That way it gives you piece of mind!

As long as they don't go longer than 12 hours dry it's not a concern.

Is it a heavy nappy when she does go? Does she have a fever? It might be best to have a urine sample tested to be on the safe side especially if it's a sudden change xx

@Chloe iv noticed it hasn’t been a full wet diaper lately it will be a a little wet like when she would get up in the morning it used to be full and now it’s barley full and everyone is telling me to not worry she’s fine and I’m like the only one who seems to be worried about this I just don’t wanna seem like the over baring parent . And she has been sick with a fever the fever broke but she still has a cold and she’s been coughing

@Amelia has her fluid intake reduced? I so know the feeling about being the only one worried! It's horrible bless you! I think if it were me personally if her fluid intake is the same I'd take my son back to the gp and request a urine sample be tested just to be sure. I'm glad she doesn't still have a fever, that's a worry with utis but if it was cold related that's good. My son drinks and eats less if he's feeling a bit rubbish so maybe it's that? x

@Chloe she is still drinking and eating , and I’m definitely thinking of taking her back , for sure because when I looked it up for how many diapers she’s supposed to have wether her age or sick she’s supposed to her like 5 or more not 1 or 2 which is what the doctor said . I wish i had seen her actual pediatrician but no just a random doctor but I can ask for them to do a pee test on her ? I didn’t know that . And yeah it’s been stressful being the only one worried and I’m like how is this okay ? Like everyone keeps saying oh she’s fine she’s fine and it’s bothering me so badly

@Amelia personally I think better safe than sorry and even if it turns out fine at the very least it puts your mind at rest! You can request one in England but I don't see why they'd refuse where you are especially if you list your concerns, with reduced output and waking up screaming, I'd even be inclined to mention the fever and not the cold if it got them to do the test. I would rather be an overbearing mum than overlook something important. Mums know their kids best, maybe ask to speak to another doctor this time for a second opinion? X

You may have an early potty trainer!!

Also, you can request a urine!!
