Emulait bottles

I exclusively bf my 6 month old and she won’t take from any bottle. I have purchased an Emulait bottle as lots of recommendations for transitioning from boob to bottle. However, every time I try to use the bottle she pushes it away, refuses to latch on, she just bites down on the teat. I use my own milk in the bottle and have tried other people feeding her. Any advice appreciated xx

I have no advice. My little one is 6 months as well and EBF. We also purchased the Emulait bottles in hopes of getting him to take a bottle - it’s unsuccessful. He will play with it but won’t drink from it.

My lg refused the bottle for 6 months. This is what worked for us in the end (can use any bottle) we'd tried all the other usual tips and tricks https://www.rachelobrienibclc.com/blog/what-to-do-when-your-breastfed-baby-wont-take-a-bottle-introducing-a-bottle-part-3/#:~:text=Bottle%20refusal%20can%20be%20incredibly,as%20shown%20in%20this%20video. It did take ages! (Slow and steady) But she perfectly combi fed after until we stopped breastfeeding at 14 months. The other thing was she would not take expressed milk we had to use formula in the end but it was only for one bottle so didn't worry me too much. Hope it helps! Xx

I couldn't really say as I haven't had a baby yet but best wishes ❤️

Emulate aren't recommended by IBCLC's because they don't promote a deep latch. You're better off finding a slim bottle with slim teats.

We also had luck with nanobebe bottles after an allergic reaction induced bottle aversion (plus syringe and spoon - basically anything that wasnt a dummy or a nipple caused pure panic for her). Couldnt manage ourselves, only once baby started nursery at 6months did they slowly manage to get her to take a bottle.

It could definitely be a latch issue I'd recommend looking up the triangle test for bottle nipples and trying out one that falls under that. Emulait seems like such an amazing concept and business but from what I've seen a lot of lactation consultants aren't super impressed with them because of the type of latch it promotes

They are horrible! My daughter never took them either and so expensive. Dr browns wide neck helped us
