Breastfeeding weight gain

Although I know weight is not a main concern as a new mum but just curious did anyone else seem to store or put on more weight after having a baby? I have been breastfeeding for 6 months and although they say breastfeeding is supposed to help you loose weight I really feel it has made me gain weight and store fat, anyone else see a difference in weight when they stoped breastfeeding?

Once baby starts weaning, they might eat less milk from us then we won’t feel too hungry. It will be manageable than ebf period, I did lose my pregnancy weight but I also started exercising after baby was 16 months. Prior to that I wasn’t fully energetic to start. We do lose but if our diet becomes healthy n calorie deficit. I’m tandem feeding, I’m not losing weight as much as I did first time but I also know I’m slowly shrinking. I’m ebf 6 months so far too. Can’t wait to feel slightly better to start exercising , right now I’m exhausted

Yes, I gained more weight breastfeeding than I did during pregnancy

This is me! Apparently it’s due to the prolactin in the breast milk, some people lose weight unfortunately for the unlucky gals we pile on the weight 😫😫😫

Yeah I always gain weight breastfeeding and I don’t loose it until I stop. Once I stop (after a year or so) it really does then drop off but yeah it’s a long wait lol

I gained weight when bf but it’s because my appetite is like a wolf’s 😅 I live on fatty and sugary foods 🙃 I’ll lose it later!

I gained weight once I stopped breastfeeding 🤦🏻‍♀️

I’ve been breastfeeding for 18 months and have never gained weight (unfortunately), my body did the opposite and has lost weight I can’t afford to lose but my appetite has always been through the roof from breastfeeding. It’s different for everyone xx
