@Kellie Ty ❤️
I started leaving the house regularly at about 1 week pp for walks (I had an easy labor this definitely isn’t possible for everyone). I was having a really difficult time with baby blues and being outside helped. Then at 3 weeks we went to dinner (with baby). Now at 9 weeks we are attending family events and going out with friends. Take it in stages. It’s a big adjustment.
My first baby it took a couple months to get adjusted. I was too tired and nervous of what if she’s hungry or gets tired and I have to nurse in public. But my second baby it was just like 2 weeks 😂 I was like well gotta go with the flow cause my toddler can’t be locked inside. You’re definitely not alone though. It’s a normal thing of being worried, it gets easier though don’t worry. You’re doing great, do it when it feels right to you. There’s absolutely no rush
Had a really hard birth and PP recovery so it was close to 3-4 months for us
Im surprised at peoples answers It was more like 8 months for me every time
@Chloe oh man that makes me nervous 😅 I have to go back to work in 4 months- wish I didn’t! I’m terrified I’ll still be this exhausted by then
You're good. About a month and some change.
With my first it took a while to get in the groove. We moved when she was a month old so I was forced to do more than I should have or wanted to. With my second it was within days that I was ready to get out and about by a month old she had had play dates, zoo and aquarium trips, and been to 2 birthday parties lol I feel like the difficulty in delivery and recovery really plays a roll. Take all the time you need
From quite young. I just pushed through the tiredness else we’d stay at home forever (depended on the day though). I also found a smaller MUCH easier to take out and “fit in” vs a mobile one
But do what you feel comfortable with. 😊
With my first I took it slow too, now when I had my 4th I have to do school runs and shop visits, my husband went back to work after a week, so I had no choice 🙂 but its totally normal, do that when you feel ready again 🥰
It took me 6 months 😮💨
Probably really post 4th trimester - it was like, 12 weeks before things felt easier
After 4th trimester the fog really cleared but I'll be honest ive truly felt better after the 6 month mark
I was still trying to establish and regulate my supply at 5-6w. So I say more 7-8w I started. I had a date night at 8w and a gfs bday at 12w which was my first drink Pp and couple hrs out without the baby. Take it slow there’s no timeline and do it when you have more energy, you are fresh PP that won’t last forever. 🙃
