Gloucester Royal stay and parking
How long do you stay in hospital after giving birth? Do you go home straight after or do you stay in 1 or 2 nights? What does it depend on? I’m not sure how it works!
Also, where do you park so you’re not rinsed with parking fees as I’m aware labour can take hours and hours 😳

I was in 5 days in total for my induction, then ended up with a c section. We parked in multi story again for ease. My husband did go home a couple of nights because I sent him home to have some proper sleep. Could someone drop you in rather than parking then collect the car on the day you know you are coming home?
I went in for my C-section at 10.30am on Thursday and was discharged by 10.00pm on Friday for my second baby. With my first I was ready to leave the same day. I gave birth at 1.12 and was discharged by 20.00 the same day, they did offer for me to stay but I had been there for a couple of days beofre waiting to be induced so was ready to get home xxx
I stayed one night and was offered a second but wanted to get home xx

I had a c section at midday on a Wednesday and was released by 2pm on the Thursday! Went in for an induction on the Monday however, so we were there for 3 nights in total. We just parked in the multi story, yes it’s not the cheapest but it’s easy and no need to worry about moving car etc and tbh you won’t care once little one is here! I had the most amazing experience at GRH. All the staff were absolutely fantastic and I cannot recommend them enough. Our birthing experience didn’t go quite as we expected (failed induction and c section under general anaesthetic) but there was never any pressure to do anything I did not want to do. I hope everything goes well for you!
