Oh god I thought it was just me! I don’t know why I didn’t think it could be linked to breastfeeding! I’ve taken the senna stool softeners which have helped, they’re not as aggressive as a laxative
It’s really common. I have movicol and take fibre gel on the occasion which is psyllium husk (you can buy this as the raw product from places like Holland and barret and add to porridge). Also, dried apricots have natural laxative properties and they do help and dates are very high fibre. I have a fake Stanley cup next to my bed and I make sure I drink a minimum of two of these a day as it’s like 1.5 litre. Make sure you’re having enough electrolytes too- places like BULK do a flavoured powder online which is really low calorie but flavoured so it’s like having a weird juice lol. Also, this is very much linked to pelvic floor (believe it or not). So once you’re a bit more active it will help but make sure you do your pelvic floor exercises!!
I say active lol I’m also BF and when I was able to go for more walks during the day it did help everything to be honest’.

Same here. Initially I had lactulose after coming back home too and I stopped it thinking how long will I take it. And back to square one again 🥲
