Piercings

How do we navigate breastfeeding while having our nipples pierced? Take them out while feeding, then put them back in? Leave them out and hope they don't close up? Help me out, please. I've had them done for a year and 3 months if that matters.

Honestly, my boobs got so huge the first couple months of pregnancy that my piercings hurt my nipples. I had mine for 6 years and I took them out while like 2 or 3 months pregnant. While pumping I can still see some milk coming through the previous piercing holes but I haven’t attempted to put the piercings back in. Just easier all around not having them anymore for me.

I had mine for maybe 2 years before I took them out while pregnant. I planned on taking them out closer to birth and maybe putting them back in when I was done breastfeeding, but I was so uncomfy with them while pregnant and they were not healing. I kept snagging them, which was so painful, and I was so relieved they closed up tbh. I won’t be repiercing them.

I took mine off during pregnancy because they became really sensitive and overall uncomfortable, I do think my breastfeeding journey was easier without them, milk still comes out of the piercing holes
