I only had one, so my first and only. Tbh, I didn't find it too bad. Maybe it depends on your pain tolerance. I was done by the balloon catheter. Once they broke my waters, I could walk around doing exercises and have a shower do whatever I pleased apparently I didn't feel anything til I was about 8 or 9cm but I guess adrenaline took over and delivered my son within 20 minutes the midwives were very surprised 😅.
I hope that will be my experience. Did either of you have pain relief
I tried gas and air, but it made me sick, so I went without as I said the adrenaline kicked in and just got my son out. I was terrified of epidural, so I didn't want that i didn't have a drip in, so I couldn't give drugs that way, but once I got close to pushing, my body took over and yeah was out lol.
Induced with my only baby so can't compare but it was fine, don't worry. The hormone drip was brutal- contractions kick in fast, but don't let people scare you- i felt it was manageable on gas&air alone. There's plenty of other pain relief options available if you're worried so be open minded and see how you get on. Would happily accept an induction again if drs recommended it again.
I was induced last month with my first baby so have no comparison. I had the balloon, then they broke my waters and went on the drip. The contractions got more and more intense but I managed with gas and air and just one lot of morphine for 15 hours before needing a c section, but whether they were worse or not than a natural labour I don’t know, just have to go with how you feel in the moment. I was worried hearing lots of negatives before hand but it was a different kind of ‘pain’ to what I was expecting, it was more of a overwhelming intense sensation than just pure pain for me, and everyone is different x
100% from my experience , was induced with my 4th and it was the worst birth pain I’ve had …deffo tryna put it off this time
