@Skye how many naps a day are you on roughly? We're about 5, but I really want him doing 3 longer ones
We’re doing 4 naps most days and I started rolling her to the side and cuddling her to sleep by spooning her with my hand on her chest, and it started working better this week! I do need to resettle after the first sleep cycle which is where I fed her a bit more and she had a 2 hour nap alone in bed this morning, which seemed impossible just 2 weeks ago, so don’t give up! But if she’s not going down in her crib I still let her sleep on me every time, but then I try again next nap to put her into bed
@Mieke thanks for the tips 🥰 how old is your LO?
I have heard that if they’re under 5/6 months and haven’t regulated their cycles it’s completely normal for them to only have 30min naps. I’m able to get my little one to nap in nxt2me & to recreate nighttime. But I also do contact naps as otherwise we wouldn’t get any long naps :( I follow Ruth - https://www.instagram.com/ruthwattshv?igsh=MWw4OGMybzhlZ3hpeg== She’s a UK Health Visitor and has loads of bits in napping and contact naps ect, I found her incredibly useful and she explains how you only have to stop contact napping if it’s for your benefit opposed to little one. Hope that helps xx
In the exact same boat lol. My son naps on me for the first nap of the day but the second I’ve been putting him in his Moses basket where he does about 30-40 mins. The rest of his naps are on me because he’s a disaster when he’s overtired. Not much help but you’re not alone!!
