Hi darling, our boy is like this as well, from around 3 week mark. What works for us is always making sure we burp him properly few times after each feed (EBF). My midwife told me in hospital that I don’t need to burp him if breastfeeding, what end up being a lie, as he is struggling with gas and winds, what makes him so colicky. We also do a lot of small exercises, like bicycles, hip rotations and belly/back massages to help him out. We have some quiet days where he is absolutely fine, smiling and not crying, but some days we have to help him out a little. Sometimes placing him on our chests and doing skin-to-skin works to soothe him (it also helps bring out a burp every now and then!)

This girl is really good xx
We have days like this but I sometimes think this is just part of having a newborn? Their tummies are so sensitive to gas and maybe there’s just times of adjustment where they’re quite uncomfortable. I wonder if babies that don’t cry much are the exception!
@Aleksandra thank you. I’ve looked into some burping videos, I struggle with burping him because he gets impatient and starts crying or fussing and I just give up and put him on the boob again. I’ll try persevere
@Amber thanks, I just watched her burping video, will watch this one too.
@Charlotte thanks, I’ll speak to them
@Aleksandra how long does it take to burp your baby? I don’t know, maybe I’m just doing it wrong
Agree with @Anna !
Colic is not an abdominal/gut issue. Colic is just the name for crying with no known reason (which it sounds like yours is). Colic was an acronym invented last century that stands for Cause Obscure:Lengthy Infant Crying. It's now more commonly referred to as PURPLE crying. If the crying is accompanied by symptoms, then it's not colic.
Hello! Really struggling with this at the moment with my baby (1 month and 3 days old) She seemed to start non-stop crying about two days ago. My partner was in bed unwell, so initially I thought either she had caught his sore throat - or it was because he wasn’t around but now I’m thinking it’s colic. She kicks her legs and cries and it is very hard to calm her. And usually sleeps on her purflo in the day but I can’t put her down without her crying now. Have been giving her infacol. I feel very upset with all the crying. I wonder if she’s having too much formula and it’s upsetting her. Any tips would be lovely.
@Anna good point, thank you
Babies also go through a growth spurt at 3 weeks, so it’s probably that & not colic (we went through the same thing.) but I agree on the above comments about also making sure you’re burping your baby 👶
Sounds like it could be colic, I think if you are breastfeeding it could be something you are eating that causes this. I would speak to your health visitor or doctors x
